Financial Mentors

Prior to selection, all potential Financial Mentors are vetted by the Ministry of Justice to ensure that they are free of any past criminal convictions.

They are also approved by their church leadership as being of good standing in the community and suitable to be trained as Financial Mentors.

All Financial Mentors undergo a 36-hour comprehensive training course conducted by FinCap, usually over a period of six weeks. On successful completion of the training course they mentor a minimum of two clients under supervision. Once the supervisor is satisfied that the required level competency is displayed, the Financial Mentor is recommended for certification.

All certificated Financial Mentors are required to participate in at least two professional development training modules per year to maintain their certification.

The team of Financial Mentors at Financial Freedom Trust is led by a Manager/Coordinator. It meets regularly for mutual encouragement and for sharing of ideas and strategies. Confidentiality of client details is always maintained.
